Making and Installing Cabinet Drawers
Explore different styles of cabinet drawers and gain experience building and installing one.
Learn to design and build cabinet drawers efficiently, then build one and go through the installation process.
You'll build an individual drawer and install it in a demo cabinet, using jigs that make this precision process easier. You'll then be able to extract your drawer and keep it as a reference.
The drawers will be small and not custom sized. The focus is on learning all the steps, not creating a final cabinet. The goal is to enable you to make and install drawers that fit whatever cabinets you build.
Prerequisites
Materials
A $25 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you need.
Class Policies
- Ages 14 and up are welcome.
- You must wear safety glasses (we recommend bringing your own) and closed-toe shoes.
- Tie back long hair, and avoid dangling clothing and jewelry.

Christopher Gronbeck
Christopher teaches in several BARN studios including Woodworking, Culinary Arts, and Print & Book Arts. He's a general contractor, graphic designer, solar energy engineer, web site developer, and ceramics artist.
