In this 4 session class (two hours each on weekends) you will learn how to make an air or steam powered engine from aluminum and brass as you learn basic and intermediate metal machining techniques.
Machining operations that will be covered in the class include basic metal turning, chamfering, cutting off, milling rectangular components, drilling, and tapping threads. CNC milling will be demonstrated for the main frame and optionally for the flywheel.
The engine, which will be yours to keep and will have an inlet that can be pressurized with air or steam to power it.

- Please wear closed-toe shoes in our studio. Tie back long hair, avoid loose-fitting clothing and jewelry and roll up sleeves. Wear hearing protectors when warranted and safety glasses; bring your own or use BARN's.
