This class is one of two options required to use the CNC (computer controlled) Lathe. The other is CAM Fusion 360 for CNC Lathe.

Interested in using our CNC Lathe to make things but unsure you want to learn fusion 360 or G code? You are in luck, there is now a third way to program our CNC machines. It is called Interactive Conversational Programming.

The software will prompt you with questions. Your answers will help it describe the geometry of your part. As you describe your part, the program will draw out your part's geometry to confirm your design. Once the completed design is confirmed, the program will write out G code to direct the lathe to cut out your part. 

The project for this class will be to make a set of 4 knobs out of brass.
