About

You'll explore wood joints and get hands-on experience in cutting and gluing them.

This isn't a "project" class, but you will make two take-away pieces you can use for future reference: a four-sided “picture frame” with each corner secured by a different joint and a small drawer box that has locking rabbet joints to secure the front and back and slotted sides for the drawer bottom.

You'll use the table saw, bandsaw, and router to make these joints:

  • Miter
  • Butt
  • Rabbet
  • Locking rabbet
  • Half-lap
  • Bridal

Materials

A $15 materials fee, included in the class fee, covers everything you need.
