You’ve heard of the “little black” dress that is essential in your wardrobe?  Here is the jewelry equivalent--an elegant and versatile loop-in-loop silver chain necklace.  In three sessions of three hours each, you will make and fuse rings, shape them, and connect them to create a sixteen-to eighteen-inch stunning silver chain.  This necklace is perfect with jeans or cocktail dresses.  Wear it alone or enhance it with a pendant.

You must know how to use a torch to take this class.

Materials you need to bring:

1. 26 ft. of 20 gauge fine silver wire for basic loop chains (approximately $33 plus shipping) or 37 ft. of 20 gauge for denser chain (approximately $47 plus shipping).

2. Material for an end cap or a jump ring to finish it off (you can make)

3. Material for a clasp or hook (you can make)

Provided for you (or bring your own if you wish)

  • a wooden dowel about 1/2 inch diameter
  • Saw or wire cutting scissors
  • Bent needle chain nose pliers
  • Screwdriver—very thin-- or scribe
  • Charcoal blocks
