About
If you can draw the figure, you can draw anything! In no other subject does the artist encounter such complex and mysterious demands as the challenge to draw the human figure.
Details
- Skill level: Intermediate, although beginners with some experience with figure drawing are welcome.
- Plan to arrive 15 minutes early so you have time to set up and prepare. Doors will close promptly at 5:30 PM.
- We'll begin with a brief introduction to studio culture and the week’s model.
- The session begins with a series of five short gestures (dynamic poses not easily held for longer than a few minutes) as warmup for both artists and models.
- After a short break, the remaining time will be structured into four 20-minute poses, relieving the model with five-minute breaks.
- Easels are available. All dry materials and watercolor are welcome. Please no acrylics, oils, India Ink or turpentine.
- The class fee covers compensation for the model. If you wish to show extra appreciation for the model's skill, time, and professionalism, you're welcome to leave an anonymous tip in the box provided.
