About

Build upon metal typesetting skills developed in the Letterpress Essentials course by printing your own custom greeting cards on the platen press. You'll learn the operation of a platen press, how to lock up type in a chase, how to make ready for printing, registration, inking, and cleanup. This will prepare you for certification on our Chandler & Price Pilot and Kelsey Excelsior platen presses.

Platen presses are ideal for most modern letterpress projects such as business cards, stationery, invitations, table cards, and more.
