Demonstrate your knowledge of how to properly use the Challenge Press and take the certification test so you can use the press independently, in this second of two classes required for independent use.
Before class, you must prepare 65 to 85 words of type, set with a leading capital, ornament or cut, and using at least two different fonts, as discussed in Letterpress: Challenge Press Certification Part 1. 

During class, time will be given for everyone to share what they have prepared, collectively ask questions about your work, discuss studio letterpress policies, and ask questions about the certification test. You'll then take the test, one at  a time, to demonstrate safe and effective use of the press and type. Upon successful completion, you'll be certified for independent letterpress use. If you don't achieve this during class, you can retake this class to be certified.

• Bring lunch. There is a refrigerator and microwave on the lower level.

A $10 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you'll need.

Prerequisites

You must have completed Letterpress: Challenge Press Certification Part 1.
