Please join us for one of our other upcoming Learn to Sew classes.

Sewing is fun! Come find out how fun and easy in one of these project-based Learn to Sew classes. In each class, through making one very simple project, you’ll pick up a few key skills that will prepare you for more complicated projects in the future.

In this class you will make a snuggly flannel pillowcase just in time for cool fall nights. Take just one class or take them all.

Each project teaches different skills, but all projects will cover these basics:

  • Cutting fabric with a rotary cutter
  • Sewing a typical seam with a “seam allowance” and knowing whether a seam needs finishing
  • Pressing seams
  • Using measuring and marking tools

    Key skills for Pillowcase Class:

    • Sewing straight
    • French seams
    • Matching edges
    • Grading seams

Note: the class is scheduled for 3.5 hours. You may not need the entire time to complete the project. If you need more time, you can arrange with your instructor to come to a Better Together Sewing Session or attend our After-Work Sewing Workshops.
