This class will qualify you to use Fiber Arts Studio sewing machines in workshops that have this course as a prerequisite.  This class will also qualify BARN members to use the sewing machines in the Studio for independent sewing projects.  

Get acquainted with the features and functions of the Studio sewing machines.  This class will teach you how to:

• set up the sewing machines for use;
• thread the machine;
• use the machine controls;
• identify and use the sewing stitches that are best for your sewing project;
• switch presser feet for different kind of sewing tasks; 
• navigate the machine manual to better utilize the functions of the equipment;
• Troubleshoot machine problems.
