Take your knitting to the next level with cables.We will knit a Tsov hat, designed by Caitlin Hunter of Oregon, designer and creator of Boyland Knitworks. This hat provides an introduction to cabling with a few different variations of simple cable. Before we start knitting, we'll talk about the structure of cables, the different tools used to cable, and learn to read cabled instructions that are written out as well as charted.

As we get to the top of the hat, double pointed needles will be used for knitting small circles in the round. An introduction to a technique called "the magic circle" also will be provided.

• Skill Level: You should be confident casting on and off, and knitting. The appropriate cast on for the pattern will be taught.
• A materials fee of $35 is included in the cost of the class.
  
• Ages 14 and up are welcome.

• 220 yards of worsted weight yarn.

• Handouts
• Cable needles
• Size 6 and 7 16” circular needles and size 7 double pointed needles
