About

Ever wonder what is takes to knit delicate, frilly lace? This class will show you how as we knit the Song of the Sea cowl designed by Louise Zass-Bangham of Inspiration Knits. Developing in the shape of growing waves, this simple lace pattern will provide an introduction to reading lace patterns and provide a feel for the ways that lace can be manipulated across a piece of fabric. This pattern provides a chance to learn lace knitting using both charted and written instructions.

Details:

  • Skill Level: Beginning knitters with little or no experience knitting lace. You should be comfortable casting off and knitting.
  • A materials fee of $5 included in the cost of the class covers handouts you'll get in class. See below for the materials students need to bring.
