About

Join us for our first Knit-Along as we knit these cleverly constructed garter-stitch knit and felted slippers.

In a Knit-Along anyone can participate at their level and speed. This pattern requires you to know how to cast on, work in garter stitch (knit every row), bind off and sew seams. You will need to match gauge in order to end up with a slipper that fits!

The pattern is free to download from the DROPS website. Click here to download.

·        The activity is free for BARN Members.

·        Non-BARN Members $10 drop-in fee per session.

Please register so we know how many people to expect.

What to Bring

·        A copy of the downloaded ‘Elfies’ pattern. Click here to download.

·        420 yds (200 gr) total of Aran weight, 100% feltable wool yarn in any color or combination of colors. Note - If you decide to hold two yarns together, they should equal an Aran weight yarn when combined.

·        Size 10 straight or short circular needles. You may want to bring a range of sizes to ensure you can match gauge

·        Knitting notions: stitch markers, scissors, pencil, measuring tape, darning needle, etc.

Note - we have some knitting needles available to use in the studio

Skill Level - Advanced Beginner Experience with casting on, knitting, binding off, matching gauge

Ages - Ages 14+ are welcome
