Wednesday & Thursday, September 7 & 8 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm

Materials fee: $10 payable in class

Make a honey dipper, a letter opener, a spurtle (a cross between a spoon and a spatula), and various kinds of stirring paddles as you learn to use the wood lathe and assorted other tools in the BARN woodshop.
Students should be able to complete at least two projects in this two-session class and maybe more if they have prior turning experience.

No experience is necessary.

Instructor: Bruce Claiborne began turning in earnest in 2008 after completing the 40-hour Craft Supply Basic Woodturning course under professional turner Kirk DeHeer. Bruce volunteers regularly at the Bainbridge High School Woods I and II classes to help students with their turning skills and projects. He is an active member of the Olympic Peninsula Chapter of the American Association of Woodturners.
