*This class is open to Jewelry Certificate of Craft students only.

In this 4-day class the Certificate of Craft, AJA students will undergo safety training on the various tools in the Jewelry Studio from 4 teachers who teach classes using those tools.

Monday, Jan. 3rd 2022 - Joan Hammond will cover safe use and maintenance of the Rolling Mill, Hydraulic Press, and Chasing tools.

Tuesday, Jan. 4th 2022 - Karin Luvaas will cover safe use and maintenance of Lapidary equipment, Enameling equipment, and Torch Tanks.

Wednesday, Jan. 5th 2022 - Karen Olch will cover safe use and maintenance of Hand tool storage, studio cleaning expectations, Ventilation and Studio opening and closing procedures.

Thursday, Jan. 6th 2022 - Nanz Aalund will cover safe use and maintenance of casting equipment, Wax carving equipment, and Buffers and Grinders. This final session will include Safety testing for all the equipment provided in the text book.
