**This workshop will be conducted via live streaming with Zoom.**

In these 90-min online sessions, students will explore the fundamentals of object drawing. You will learn the rules and guidelines of rendering objects. The drawing systems of isometric, orthographic, and perspective will be introduced in this class and drawing for communication will be a focus.

Students will need to provide these supplies:

• Felt tip pens: (one each Sharpie regular, fine and ultra fine 0.5mm points)
• Pencils: one each HB, 2B, 4B, 6B (with pencil sharpener)
• Sketch book: minimum 8 1/2” X 11” (smooth finish paper) Or Copy paper
• Staedtler #977-102 General Purpose Template
• 12” ruler
• Kneaded rubber Eraser
• Pearl White plastic Eraser

Instructor Bio:

Professor Emeritus, Charles Lewton-Brain, is a master goldsmith, author, and artist. He invented Foldforming, internationally recognized as the first new metalsmithing technique in over 200 years. He co-founded the worlds largest, free, internet-based educational resource for jewelers known as Ganoksin. Over 1000 pages of his research on metalsmithing and jewelry making are in the archives on Ganoksin. His work has been internationally exhibited since the 1980s. He received Canada’s highest honor for fine craft, the Governor General Award, in 2012.
