This class has been postponed.

In this two session class, you will learn how to work with this self glazing low fire clay including shaping, drying, and firing. Everyone will have a chance to make a number of beads as well as learn how to fire this versatile material with a simple propane torch. The instructor will share formulas for making the clays.

This class is open to beginners, intermediate, and advanced students.

An assortment of colored self glazing clays will be provided for the students to use to make their beads.

There is an additional materials fee of $10 that will be added to the class fee when you register.

Students may buy sterling silver in the jewelry studio if they wish for their projects. 

Instructor: Chris Stanley is a fourth generation artist/ craftsman who works in a variety of media. After working for many years as a professional model maker in both architectural and design fields, he went into education, teaching a wide variety of classes for the Art Institute of Seattle.
