We are very excited to be offering our first wheel fiber spinning class.  We have the spinning wheels and all of the materials you will need.  Just bring yourself and enter the wonderful world of fiber spinning.

In this class you will: 

  • Learn the anatomy and physiology of a spinning wheel;
  • Learn preparation of fleece for spinning;
  • Learn two types of basic spinning techniques;
  • Practice in spinning on the wheel;
  • Learn plying of finished yarn.
Instructor: Sandy Hall has been spinning and knitting for over 40 years.  She initiated our spinning community in the Fiber Arts Studio.  As an occupational therapist and special education, she has taught variety of classes with appreciation of the select learning styles.  She will be ably assisted by Terry Winer, a longtime, superb spinner.
  • The class is open to adults.
  • Class is open to kids 10 and older. Parents are welcome to join their children, but it is not required.
  • Parents will be asked to sign a permission form.

Material Fees: $35 
 Students Should Bring: 
  • Socks to wear while spinning, lunch
