About
Rag weaving is a
very sturdy, washable weaving that results in a balanced weave, using
fabric strips for both the warp and weft. You'll learn to weave using this technique, how to set up on larger looms, and weave a medium-size project. On the first day of class, you'll use a small loom to learn the techniques, and set up a large loom to use during the rest of the class. If you have previous experience with frame looms, you may start with a large loom the first day.
All the techniques learned will enable you to do large projects on your own. You'll be able to make pillows, rugs, place mats, runners, purses, and more.
