About
Weaving combines color, fiber, and patterns in endless, unique options to create cloth. You'll learn all the steps involved in weaving — setting up and using a floor loom, project planning, weave structure and pattern, and many tricks of the trade.
You'll weave small samples with the focus on learning how to set up the loom, plan your project, and weave. You'll walk out of class with a strong understanding of this complex but incredibly rewarding process.
In this intensive, five-session class, you'll learn how to:
- Prepare fiber to go on the loom.
- Indirectly warp a loom (and what "warp" means).
- Set up a floor loom.
- Weave multiple weaving structures.
- Change colors and create more complex patterning.
- Plan weaving projects.
- Read a weaving draft.
