*This class has a prerequisite. Please see below.

In this two session class, you will learn the basics of G-code programming used throughout industry for controlling machine tools, routers, plasma cutters, 3D printers etc. Chris writes G code to machine metal forming dies for his jewelry projects. The focus in this class will be on the coding necessary to control the BARN CNC milling machine. Chris has an interesting approach to coding Mill work using spreadsheets.  By the end of this class you will have written code and cut out a simple project.


* Prerequisite:
Introduction to the Milling Machine class or equivalent.

There is an added $10 materials fee for stock and O'hds that included in the registration fee.


Instructor: Chris Stanley

Chris is a master model maker, inventer, and fourth generation artist. He has taught a variety of classes in the industrial design department at the Art Institute of Seattle.
