This class has prerequisites. Please see below.

Welding aluminium can be done with either MIG or TIG.  In the case of MIG, aluminium welding requires a spool gun equipped MIG gun.  

Aluminium welding is generally more delicate or sensitive than welding steel.  This class will be in workshop format providing the participants the opportunity to begin developing aluminium welding skills. There will be two instructors leading the workshop.

(This class is open to Monitors who wish to practice or familiarize themselves -- providing the class is not fully subscribed.)

Details:

• Prerequisite:  Welding experience equal for BARN Introduction to Welding MIG #1 and #2 or TIG #1 and #2 or permission of the studio lead (henrysharpe@gmail.com) is a prerequisite to registering for this class.  
  
• BARN will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  
• Participants must wear natural fiber clothing, long sleeves, long pants, closed toe shoes (preferably leather or cotton), no stretch fabrics.  Dress warmly, there is no heat n the welding studio.
• There will be a $20 materials fee for some new materials, gas, filler, and consumables that will be added to the class cost when you register.

Dave Roe: Dave is an amateur welder and a principal in the welding studio.  He is also a BARN Board member.
