In this next step to working with soft pastels after Intro to Pastels 1, you'll continue to build your pastel sketching and drawing skills with attention to lighting and shadow through a fun step-by-step process. You'll learn to mix and layer your pastel colors while creating a beautiful still life from observation.

Skill level: All levels are welcome.

Prerequisites

Intro to Pastels 1 or other related experience, per your own judgment. 

Class Policies

Ages 14 and up are welcome.

Sher Swaim

Sher Swaim received her BFA in painting from the University of Illinois and did post-baccalaureate work at the University of Florida. Before locating to Port Ludlow, Sher owned and operated Sher’s Art Gallery and for 33 years taught classes in drawing, pastels, painting and ceramics for all ages.
