Learn to use compression techniques to create intricate designs in borosilicate glass marbles and pendants. You'll pull stringers, make a flat surface to use as a “canvas,” and add dots and lines to create patterns that will be coaxed into the depths of molten glass to form layered petals and other forms.

Details

• Experience level: Intermediate. You should be comfortable using the torch, and ideally have practice making marbles. 
• Class will be taught using borosilicate glass but students with experience making soft glass marbles also are welcome. 

Materials

• A $15 materials fee, included in the price of the class, covers everything you need.
• You're welcome to bring any of your favorite tools or additional boro glass you may want to use.

Prerequisites

• You should have completed an introductory class such as Intro to Marbles or Bead Bootcamp. 
• Additional practice at a torch prior to this class is highly encouraged.

Class Policies

• Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required in the Glass Studio at all times.  
• Long hair should be tied back.  
• All-cotton clothing is recommended for torchwork.
