About

You don't need to call a plumber to fix some of the most common plumbing problems. In this installment in BARN's Home Repair series, we will show you how to repair a toilet tank that just won't stop running and a faucet that drips all night.

We will have a toilet water tank in class to show you how to replace the parts inside the tank, so you can see how this is done.

We will also go over the four kinds of faucets used in homes: compression, cartridge, ceramic disk, and ball. Each type  will be shown in class and you will see how to repair a leak in each of them.  We will also provide drawings of each faucet type to guide you during these demonstrations.

You will learn which tools you will need to complete common plumbing repairs and you will receive a list of them so you can add them to your home repair tool box.

Details:

  • Open to beginners.
  • You can sign up for each Home Repair class or just the ones that interest you or suit your schedule. It is not necessary to take the classes in any particular order.
  • A $10 materials fee, to cover shop supplies and materials for the class, will be added to the class fee when you register and pay.
