Bring your creativity — and an item from home — to transform into something uniquely yours! In this guided open studio, you'll have the opportunity to mosaic everyday objects and give new life to items that might otherwise be discarded. From picture frames and trays to small furniture pieces, vases, and more, turn worn or overlooked objects into stunning, functional art.

- What to Bring: Any small to medium item you’d like to enhance with mosaics. Great options include wooden boxes, mirrors, terra cotta pots, or even lamp bases. Upcycling thrifted or well-loved items is encouraged! If you don’t have an item, don’t worry, as there will be materials available to experiment with.
- What’s Provided: You'll get a selection of mosaic materials, tools, adhesives, and expert guidance to help you plan and execute your design. Scrap and repurposed materials also will be available to inspire eco-friendly creativity.
- Sustainable Creativity: This is a great way to give old objects a second life while reducing waste. By incorporating salvaged materials and upcycled pieces, you’ll create something both beautiful and environmentally mindful.
- Skill Level: All levels. Whether you’re new to mosaics or looking for fresh inspiration, this studio time is designed to spark creativity and offer hands-on learning.
Details
Come prepared with your own project in mind and glass to use, or purchase glass and project forms, such as pendants, at the time of the Open Studio. You could bring your own rock, for example.
