If you love exploring new places, this travel writing workshop is for you. Learn how to transform your travel experiences into engaging travelogues that will captivate your readers -- regardless of whether you're hoping to publish or simply want to share your experiences with family and friends. In this course, we'll talk about story angles and structure, observational writing, and capturing a sense of place. We'll also touch on pitching web and magazine editors. By the end of the workshop, you'll have the skills and confidence you need to write a genuinely compelling travelogue.

Instructor Bio: Jennifer Hemmingsen is Seattle Times opinion columnist and editorial writer whose recent work has appeared in the Kansas City Star,  Missoulian, WOSU-FM (Columbus, OH), Grand Island Independent, Cayman Compass, The Free Lance-Star, Bridge Michigan, Walla Walla Union-Bulletin, The Midwest Center for Investigative Reporting and KUNI FM.
