About the Instructor

During the last ten years, Jan Branham retired to Bainbridge Island after a 35-year career as a public high school art teacher in California. She has since become a full-time printmaker, which she finds very satisfying and artistically nourishing. Jan primarily works using collage and other printmaking techniques such as etching, linocut, woodblock, and collagraph, as well as the mixing of media to satisfy her image curiosity.

Jan currently works with several groups of printmakers as well as being an active member of BARN’s Print Studio and the Seattle Print Arts. She has been included in a number of local and national shows, from Port Townsend to Brooklyn. See more of Jan’s work at the Island Gallery here on Bainbridge Island.
