This Month's Program: How to Create Needle-Made Laces.

Janetmarie has been obsessed lately with making fiber Dorset buttons such as those made in 1622 in Dorset, England, but she did not want to ignore other needle laces she had taught before.

The 2017 outdoor fair at BIMA that included artisans from BARN was a good place for her to show just one lace type in a large format for everyone to see better, and it turns out that that “teneriffe lace technique” is one she uses for her Dorset buttons!

Materials.  Please bring: blunt tapestry needles with large eyes

If you have never visited BARN or the BARN Fiber Arts Studio -- this is a great chance to come and see the Studio, take part in a creative activity, and meet the community.
