The world of color is in your hands. Begin your dyeing and hat-knitting journey in this multi-part class. Meet in the Fiber Lab for a dye session where you will create a bespoke skein of yarn using WashFast Acid dyes. Learn basic acid dyeing safety and techniques while crafting a one-of-a-kind skein. Join us the following week to cast on for your hat. We will learn how to knit in the round on circular needles and using basic hat construction. 

Details:

• Skill Level:  Advanced Beginners: You must have basic knitting skills, be comfortable with casting on, knit and purl and be ready to play with color.
• A $30 materials fee included in the cost of the class covers what you will need - a 100 gram skein of DK Merino Superwash and all dyestuff .
• Bring a sack lunch. BARN has a refrigerator and microwave on the lower level.
