Whether you believe in fairies or just want to invite a little whimsy into your life, making a fairy door is sure to delight. Just a few inches high, a fairy door can range from rustic to elegant. Examples are found all over the world and are featured on numerous blogs and websites. People attach the miniature doors to trees — fairies love gardens, after all — and even to baseboards indoors. Sometimes the doors come complete with attached stairs or other features.

Details:

Children as young as 8 are welcome in this class if accompanied by a parent. Unaccompanied teens and adults are also invited.

BARN will supply wood and a variety of fittings, but participants are also invited to bring along bits of jewelry or other items that might serve as door knobs, lights, kick-plates or other embellishments.
