Invented by Native Americans, weaving beads on a loom is a beautiful and traditional art form. ??A handmade wooden loom is included in the supply fee but students will learn about other types of looms on the market and also how to make a simple one at home. A variety of graphs will be included in the tutorial and students will learn how to string their loom according to the graph they choose. A variety of bead colors will be included in the supplies.

Week one will get you started and week two will focus on a variety of finishing techniques. Weaving on a loom is an addicting and satisfying way to make a variety of beautiful art and jewelry pieces!

• Registration for this class will close on Wednesday, March 31 at 12:00 PM so that kits can be assembled and mailed in a timely manner. Please verify your mailing address when you register. Cancellations for refunds or credits will not be accepted after March 31st.

• Class time is Pacific Daylight Time.

• This class will be conducted via Zoom. For a great video on how to use Zoom, watch this tutorial. Please make sure you have the most current version of the Zoom software.

Instructor: Chris Eisenberg discovered beading while recovering from an accident and the resulting traumatic brain injury. Beading was her therapy and credits it for helping her become whole again. Chris has a doctorate in classical piano performance from the University of Northern Colorado and am a performance coach and collaborator at Central Washington University. She has previously taught workshops at the Autumn Artist Retreat and in the Iron Mountain Arts studio near Port Gamble.
