This fun filled, intimate, two-day workshop experience is open to anyone interested in learning more about print art. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to seasoned artists.

Participants will explore the process of image development while learning and refining a variety of printmaking skills. We will focus on building prints by layering and combining traditional and contemporary print processes such as drypoint, collagraph, frottage, collage, and hand-coloring techniques. Work will revolve around the development of content and meaning through the use of various methods and materials. Everyone will take home a wide variety of printed works.

INSTRUCTOR: Curt Labitzke is an associate professor of printmaking at the University of Washington.  His work is represented at the Island Gallery on Bainbridge Island and La Bottega dell Acquaforte Gallery in Laguna Beach, California.  Curt's work was included in the group of Seattle Regional Printmakers shows at Roby King Gallery in 2013 and 2014.  He has shown in galleries internationally in Italy, France, Chile and Mexico.

His work is currently represented in the June group show at Seattle Art Museum's SAM Gallery.
