This is part of a series of informal talks, hosted by the Electronics and Technical Arts studio. It is a way for a attendees to get a taste of a new subject. Admission is free, and there is no guarantee of quality! If there is enough interest, some of these talks may become starting points for classes in the future.

Title: The Internet of Things and You, a Survey of the Landscape

Description: The Internet of Things, IoT, is a rapidly blossoming phenomenon growing out of the convergence of wireless technologies, micro-electromechanical systems and the Internet. We will discuss what IoT means to you as an individual and homeowner, to you as a member of the business community, and to you the maker. We will touch on IoT examples, frameworks and emerging systems, where this arena is expanding and where you can start with your own IoT project as a maker.
