We started a new series of hands-on electronics and soldering sessions we call "Build-Alongs."  You get a small electronics kit that you get to build during the session. It's yours to take home with you. 

This session provides you with the kit, tools (soldering irons), materials (solder and a battery) as well as assistance building it.

New to soldering? This is a fun, satisfying way to learn and get help. Semi-experienced or an electronics whiz? That works, too, because it's always fun to practice and make something new. You may even pick up a few tips along the way.

December's selection is a light-up blinking Holiday tree.

For this session, registration is limited to 5 participants so sign up early to secure your spot. This number will vary in the future depending on how many kits we can get.

A materials fee of $15  to cover the cost of the kit.

Skill Level: For all levels.  The studio monitor who built one of these reports that it's a little more challenging than he expected, but not hard. Something to keep in mind for younger participants.

Ages: Ages 12+. Under 12 with an accompanying adult. One kit per registration. 

Bio

Build-Alongs will be led by a rotating cast of studio monitors. December's build-master is Jorge Barrios who nudges bytes for a living and is learning how to move atoms around. Be sure to check out his upcoming class Build a Mechanical Keyboard in January.
