About

This is a follow-up course to the Drones 102 course in which participants built a first-person view (FPV) drone. In this course, students will fly their drones on an open field. Students will meet at the BARN at class time, and then arrange to carpool to the site. The site will be announced closer to class time. Students will be responsible for bringing their own FPV drone, controller, and goggles.  

• The FPV drone that you build in Drones 102. If you did not attend Drones 101 or 102, you can still attend as long as you have an FPV drone and 10+ hours flight experience in a simulator (see Drones 101).
• A controller with battery. See Drones 101 for suggestions on both a simulator and controller.
• A remote-control link, such as the TBS Crossfire (https://pyrodrone.com/products/tbs-crossfire-micro-tx-v2)
• Flight goggles such as the DJI FPV googles (https://pyrodrone.com/products/dji-fpv-goggles-v2-ultra-low-latency-digital-hd)
