Learn how to design cabinets and cabinet doors to accommodate modern hardware, and how to select and install cabinet door hinges and their numerous features. This includes exposed or concealed, full versus partial overlays or inset doors, framed or frameless, standard or wide opening to accommodate pull-out drawers.

You'll learn the basic design principles associated with cabinet doors and hardware, gain hands-on experience measuring and installing door hinges on simple cabinet mock-ups, and how to adjust the hardware.

Although this class focuses on the hardware, not how to construct cabinet boxes, you'll learn how the cabinet box, door, drawers, and shelves interrelate.  You'll learn about and use hardware installation jigs to simplify installation and achieve the precision required for cabinets to work well.
