About

This free, one-hour orientation introduces the BARN commercial kitchen and culinary arts programming to new instructors, prospective instructors, or previous instructors who want a refresher.

We'll gather as a group for about an hour and review how the kitchen operates, where equipment is kept, and Health Department regulations. We'll cover standard guidelines and processes for creating a cooking class at BARN, from pitching your idea to creating the class description and marketing your class and all things in between like ingredient shopping, expense reporting, and having a great event.

Bring all your questions! We will hold new instructor orientations once a month. Contact Chris West with questions at kitchen.lead@bainbridgebarn.org.

Class Policies

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome.
  • You must wear closed-toe shoes in the studio.
