About

*This class has prerequisites. please see below.

Now that you have some basic welding, grinding, and metal-working skills under your belt, it’s time to start working on that piece that you’ve been dreaming of creating. Maybe your vision was spurred by a fascinating found object, a technique that enthralls you, or a space that’s begging for one of your crafted pieces of art. No matter what compels you, this is the class that will help you achieve that vision. It will start with your idea, and Carla will help you make it come to life. A major feature of this class is Resourcing; where to get the right materials; what finish to use; how to achieve the patina you want. This class will improve your skills, and help you along the path of learning what you need to know to actualize your piece. After you have a clear design in mind and a plan on how to construct it, you’ll work on your piece during this three-session class and have access to Carla’s guidance along the way.
