Instructor

Dorothy K. Foster is owner of the Bainbridge Island and Seattle law firm of Foster Law Group, PLLC, where she practices in the areas of estate planning and nonprofit tax-exempt organizations, with emphases in international estate planning and charitable organizations. She holds Masters' degrees in English, from Washington State University, and in Linguistics, from the University of Colorado. She graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska School of Law where she was a Regents Law Scholar, a member of the Order of the Coif, and Research Editor of the Nebraska Law Review. Ms. Foster is a former Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Washington School of Law and former Trustee of the King County Bar Foundation. She is a member of the Taxation, Real Property/Probate, and International Sections of the Washington State Bar Association; and the Taxation, Real Property and Probate, and International Sections of the American Bar Association. She is a founder and former President of the Seattle Branch of the international Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners and is a certified mediator.
