Knit a cozy sweater for your hot water bottle.  Guaranteed to keep you warm on winters nights and in the Fiber Arts Studio.  

This is a great class for folks who are just starting to knit.  It will help you grow your beginning knitting skills

Participants should know how to knit and purl.  

In this class you will learn:  

  •  how to cast on
  • bind off
  • measure gauge.
Instructor Bio: Sandy Hall has been knitting and spinning for over 40 years. As an occupational therapist and special education, she has taught variety of classes with appreciation of the select learning styles.  Everyone who has taken  her knitting and spinning classes at BARN rates her as an excellent teacher who's knowledge and wonderful way of working with students is marvelous.  



Thanks to Sandy Hall Volunteering her time: This class is free to BARN Members; $20 for Non-BARN Members. Both BARN Members and Non-BARN Members are required to pay the $15 materials fee for the hot water bottle.
Students should bring to class :
  • 1 skein worsted weight yarn (200 yards)
  • 16 inch circular needles (2 sets: Size 9 and 10 1/2
(these knitting items can be found at the Churchmouse store in Downtown Winslow)
Material Fee: $15  -- Hot water bottle provided as part of material fees. Please bring cash or a check made out to BARN.

Class is open to anyone 14 years and older
