A fun introduction to glass by using the copper foil method to make a tree ornament. Retired high school teacher, Jim Washington will oversee experienced or beginner glass enthusiasts as they create a holiday ornament. A wonderful family opportunity to share together as youth ages 12 and up are welcome.

Details:

  • This is a beginning level class. No experience in working with glass is necessary. 
  • To register your youth, please enter their name in the Youth's Name field and enter the parent/guardian email address for "registrants email". All reminders and important information will go to the email address you register with. Please complete and return this minor permission form if registering a youth.
  • We request that students wear cotton or other natural fiber clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Please review our safety protocols before registering. BARN wide safety protocols can be found here.
  • There is a materials fee of $10 included in the price of class.

Instructor: 

Jim Washington comes to BARN with 35 years in vocational education settings. He has taught classes in cold, warm and hot glass, glass batching, ceramics, manufacturing, woodshop, and composites. His first love was the glass arts program in Central Kitsap which he built and ran for 12 years.
