Because BARN's move into the new building was delayed, we will not be able to offer sheet metal classes until June. The cooking cutter class will be rescheduled for later in the year.

You will learn the basics of hand forming strips of metal, either by jig or free form, as you make your own cookie cutters. You'll learn to calculate the strip sizes so your cookie cutter will finish to the sizes you have designed. Copper is the most popular metal to form but you can use stainless steel if you prefer. The cutters that you make will last for many years to come.

The materials cost for class fabrication will range from $8 to $16 depending on size and materials used, payable in class.

The Sheet Metal Studio will be open Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 6 pm to 8 pm for open studio time to finish any class projects.

No prior sheet metal experience is required, although it will be helpful to have taken the two-hour Sheet Metal Safety class, offered twice a month on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm.
