About

This class had no registrants and was just put in Admin Mode for reference purposes. ~tammie

This class is one of three options required to use the CNC (computer controlled) SERVO Milling Machine. The others are CAM Fusion 360 for CNC Milling Machine or G-code for the CNC Mill.

Interested in using our CNC mill to make things but unsure you want to learn fusion 360 or G code? You are in luck, there is now a third way to program our CNC machines. It is called Interactive Conversational Programming.

The software will prompt you with questions. Your answers will help it describe the geometry of your part. As you describe your part, the program will draw out your part's geometry to confirm your design. Once the completed design is confirmed, the program will write out G code to direct the mill to cut out your part.

The project for this class will be to make a trivet, five and three-quarter inches square by three quarters of an inch thick. You will design and carve out a pattern in the top of the trivet. The material we will be using to make the trivet is called paper stone. It is made from recycled paper and a non petroleum-based phenolic resin.

A $10 materials fee will be added to the base price when you register.
