Neighbors making food for neighbors! Join us for a lively cooking session as we make large batches of soups, stews, and/or grain bowls to send to local food banks.

We’ll share recipes, tasty food, and ideas for future meals as we make use of the season’s bounty, including vegetarian and meat dishes. Our meals will be packaged up for distribution by Helpline House and/or Fishline. Many of the folks who shop at the food banks are thrilled to take home ready-to-eat meals.

Helpline House is a nonprofit organization that provides social services to Bainbridge Island residents. The organization offers a variety of services, including a food bank, financial assistance, and counseling. Helpline House helps anyone in need, regardless of income, at no charge.

Fishline is a nonprofit organization based in Poulsbo that provides for basic needs in extraordinary ways. They envision a vibrant Kitsap County where all neighbors have access to essential resources and the opportunity to thrive. Fishline celebrates diversity and is committed to equity and treating all people with dignity and respect.
