About

Make a beautiful Byzantine bracelet of sterling silver or colorful aluminum! You'll learn how to open and close jump rings properly to achieve seamless closures and discover the secrets of the classic Byzantine chainmaille weave. 

Using a pair of pliers in each hand, you’ll open and close jump rings. The instructor will provide chain-nose and flat-nose pliers for you to use during the class. If you have your own pliers, you're welcome to bring them.

Details

  • Skill level: Beginner.
  • Bring magnifying glasses to help you see fine details (optional). The jump rings you’ll use to make the bracelet are small.
  • You’ll be able to purchase additional bracelet kits from the instructor during the class.

Details

  • When you register, you'll select the kit you want:.
    • Aluminum ($20 materials fee). You'll choose the color during class.
    • Sterling Silver ($125 materials fee).
  • (The materials fee will cover all the supplies you'll need to complete a bracelet.)

Class Policies

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes.
