You’ve been saving that special bottle from a memorable occasion---or one you find intriguing and just can’t throw away---so why not immortalize it by having it kiln fired flat into a useful keepsake.
Bring that bottle to the  new BARN, leave it with us, Friday, August 25, 5:30pm to 7:30pm, and enjoy sparkling wine & cheese.

Admission is $25, and includes the kiln firing of one 750 ml (standard-sized wine/liquor) bottle. Additional bottles can be fired for $15 each. Register to reserve your space & pay at the door!

Bottle Prep & Information

Plain bottles work great in the kiln. Etched and painted bottles also work. The images remain. Paper labels and any plastic must be removed on all bottles. Paper labels will not survive firing. Some newer bottles are not painted. Rather, what appears to be paint is a plastic substance that will not remain after firing. Most Grey Goose Vodka bottles are examples of painted bottles that survive firing; Absolute Vodka bottles do not!

Cleaning Your Bottles

Soak the bottles in hot, soapy water and scrub the exterior clean. Scrape off and remove paper label and plastic. Make sure all adhesive and glue residue are off the bottle.
