Nic will give a talk and demonstration about letterpress printing. Nic has many, many years of experience as a professional press man, and his talk will be both interesting and informative.  Nic will guide us through the many applications of letterpress, and the basics of setting type, proofing, and printing.  

Letterpress printing is a great skill for poets and writers who might want to print broadsides of their work, printmakers who could add text to their prints or easily print multiple linocut prints, and of course, book artists who use any kind of text in their work.

The BARN has a fully working clam shell press, and lots of great metal and wooden type.  This should be an informative session...bring questions and ideas, and see what we have for letterpress printing.
