Gain confidence in using a wide array of power tools safely in this three-week component of BARN's Intro to Woodworking series.

You will build a sturdy, two-step stepstool of solid wood and plywood. The project was specifically designed to give you experience with the most common stationary and portable tools in the woodshop:

• table saw
• band saw
• miter saw
• jointer
  
• planer
• drill press
• oscilating spindle sander
• router
• biscuit joiner
• hand drill
• impact driver
• random orbit sander

• Ages 14+ are welcome.
  
• * Prerequisites: Beginners are welcome but you must first complete our free, one-hour Orientation to the Woodshop class plus Woodshop Tool Safety Checkout 1 and 2. If you have not taken these classes, please register for them before you sign up for this class. For more details, see the Woodshop calendar here.

• BARN is practicing safety measures for the health and well-being of all participants, in accordance with state and CDC guidelines. Overall BARN safety policies are here.
• You must wear safety glasses and closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, and avoid loose-fitting clothing and jewelry. We recommend bringing your own safety glasses.
