About

This 3 session class is for those that have not taken any or a couple jewelry making class before.  Basic skills such as using a jeweler's saw, filing, sanding, silver soldering and finishing will be covered.  The student may choose to make a pin or pendant.  Metal shapes will be made by rolling textures, hammering patterns and assembled to create an animal, landscape or abstract composition.  

Students are to bring reading glasses (if needed), ideas for project and please wear long pants and closed toe shoes.

Instructor: 

Jane Martin has taught jewelry making at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, for the Seattle Metals Guild, and the Bainbridge Island park department. She is the Jewelry Department studio lead and her jewelry is shown at Facere Jewelry Art Gallery in Seattle.
